Bring a Potluck Pilot to Your Community

A simple, free way to help families cook less and connect more
Potluck is a community-based meal swap that helps busy households trade the labor of planning and cooking dinner.

Instead of making a different meal every night, each family cooks in bulk once a week—then swaps meals with others who match their dietary needs.

We're inviting schools, daycares, parent groups, churches, and local leaders to host small-scale pilots while we build out the full Potluck platform.

It’s free, low-lift, and designed to fit the rhythms of real families.

How It Works

01

We create your signup form.

You'll get a custom link you can share with your group.

02

You invite your community to sign up.

We give you flyers, graphics and email/social media copy that are easy to copy and paste.

03

We handle the matching.

We pair families based on household size, dietary preferences, and swap logistics.

04

You help host a kickoff meet-up.

It can be as simple as a park playdate or casual meetup.

05

Families swap meals weekly!

They connect directly and coordinate their own swap routines.

06

Help shape what comes next.

Your honest input in post-pilot interviews and surveys helps us design a platform that’s truly useful, trusted, and human-centered.

Why should I host a Potluck in my community?

Strengthen connection in your school, faith group, or neighborhood
Help families reduce meal prep stress
Try something new that’s fully supported (we handle logistics!)
Unlock early access to a supportive community model designed to scale alongside you

What Makes This Different?

We’re building a system of shared support for the everyday grind of feeding a family—
one that reduces your mental load, rebuilds neighborhood trust, and turns weekly dinner into a communal rhythm. Unlike transactional meal solutions, Potluck is about real people, sharing the work of real life.

It’s not a meal train.

It’s mutual, weekly, and built for everyday life—not just big moments.

It’s not a tech app (yet).

We're piloting this “offline” so we can learn what really works before launching our full platform.

It’s not a huge lift.

You don’t need to coordinate meals or manage logistics. We handle the setup—you just open the door to build more community!

What do I need to provide as the pilot host?

Potluck is committed to running these initial pilots at no cost, but we do ask for one thing from community leaders and pilot hosts in return.

A quick, non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) that simply indicates: “Yes, we’d be interested in using Potluck more if/when the tech is built.”

This helps us show demand to funders and stay focused on building for communities like yours.
